The Hwa Chong Debate Invitational is an annual debate tournament organised for selected Secondary Schools. This competition seeks to provide debaters at the secondary schools level the opportunity to face challenging opponents and debate thought-provoking motions.

There will be a change in the competition format this year. The competition will be expanded to include Division 2 schools in a Silver Division while Division 1 schools will be in the Gold Division. Teams in the Gold Division and Silver Division this year will break directly to the semi-finals of the respective divisions.
